Joanna Newsom’s “Peach, Plum, Pear” is: a rather nice way to kick off a new week in a new year in a new house, even if her puerile vocal stylings sometimes make me want to throw a book. I LOVE THIS SONG.  Maybe it’s because my introduction to it was via THIS, and as we all know, Beyonce’s hip-movements make everything right in the world.

The Weakerthans’ “Aside” is: a time machine to February 2006. When things were so incredibly different. When there was extreme love, and hopefulness, and the disorienting feeling of being lost and happy in the weirdest of ways. Things seemed a lot bigger then and the icy drive of 150 miles and a weekend were all that it took.

2010 better be careful because I AM COMING FOR IT…with a twinkle in my eye.

I think it’s good to have a few secrets.
